Driving Sustainability in the Cement Industry
Blendera is addressing growing sustainability concerns in the cement sector.
Cement production accounts for approximately 8% of global CO₂ emissions driven mainly by raw material calcination, use of fossil fuels and transportation.

Up to 40% less OPC/Clinker imports required:
- Less maritime shipping which accounts for about 3% of global CO2 emissions
- Reduced port congestions
- Less subject to freight rates fluctuation

The use of local materials:
- Generates domestic employment
- Increases domestic GDP
- Reduces production costs
- Reduces the outflow of hard currency

Significant CO₂ savings:
- Replacing CEM I with CEM II/IV (25% SCM) reduces emissions by 125 kg per ton of cement.
- Even more so when considering that a CEM IV allows SCM up to 55%
Blendera is committed to sustainability by enabling the production of blended cement with up to 40% replacement of traditional cement using SCMs like limestone, pozzolana, and other similar fillers.
